Alone with You

Rosalie inhaled and exhaled somewhat smiling. She didn't know what it was about these lakes that made her relaxed but somehow the crisp air that surrounded the lakes mixed with the scent of pine and animals that came across the surface whenever the wind blew made all of her troubles melt away.

She slipped her shoes and socks off and placed one foot into the water, closing her eyes and feeling the rocks and water that touched her toes and feet. Even though the sun wasn't out today, the temperature seemed to be warmer than usual, making the water feel just slightly cooler than it normally was.

She continued walking into the water, feeling her feet be enveloped in water, the rocks becoming larger and smoother as she continued to go forward. She paused for a second however, as she couldn't help but feel a tinge of loneliness in her "scientifically dead" heart.

Flipping out her cell phone from her pocket, she went to her contacts and quickly clicked his name.
'Hey Emm...' she texted. 'Down by the lake. Think you can come down?'

Emmett had just gotten up and was heading downstairs when his phone went off- it was Rosalie asking if he could come down to the lake. Just the thought of being alone with her got him exited and he quickly replied; "Sure, be right there."

Soon he was out and heading down to the lake. As the cool air blew threw his hair he began to slow down, even though he could not yet see Rosalie, he slowed down because the sereneness of the lake caused him to think that the stillness of the air deserved to remain unbroken. Emmett's pace began to pick up as he noticed his Rosalie's shoes lying on the ground next to the water.

Even as he thought about being alone with her, he began to notice all the other life forms around and in the lake…it was like he and Rosalie were part of a system of life which deserved respect- then he thought how it was funny the way a bunch of still water can make a person think so much...

"Sure, be right there." she quickly read on her cell phone. Happiness spread across her normally emotionless face. Soon, Emmett would be here. He always seemed to make her happy.

This would be perfect. Being with the person who made her the happiest in the place that made her the happiest. She stopped where she was in the water and closed her eyes, feeling the smooth rocks on the bottom of the lake with her feet and toes, slowly spinning around, much like a ballerina.

Breathing in through her nose, her eyes snapped open as she spun around, smelling her soul mates scent incredibly close. Quickly moving out of the water, she hurried in the direction is scent was coming from, spying him before he could see her.

Sneaking around above him in the trees, she jumped and tackled him, turning him over to pin him to the ground. As she pushed his shoulders down, she moved her head down and softly kissed him on the lips as she pulled back and chuckled to herself.

"Hey hot stuff," she chuckled. "Glad you could come out here to be with me."
