Where did you hear about this forum? the administrator
Do you have any other characters on here? Aylen
What is the secret word? Nessie

Name: Derek Collins
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Power: Of course none
Affiliation: Unsuspecting human.
Appearance: Derek is a medium-sized boy of Western European descent. He has brown eyes and brown hair, and a healthy, athletic body from competitive running. He dresses modernly but not obsessively stylishly.
Derek has a confident smile that he uses to spread his powerful enthusiasm. His eyes are inviting but are not warm looking; rather, they are fiercely spirited.

Personality: Derek has a relaxed personality. He neither tries to conform nor to stand out, giving him an organic, unguarded character in front of other people. He is not competitive, and unless directly insulted or criticized, has not much motivation to work hard. He rarely compares himself to other people; in fact, he rarely even bothers to evaluate himself. His education, which consumes a significant amount of his life, is not a learning experience, a preparation for a career, nor a competitive; it is simply a challenge that is not worth stressing over. Derek’s insouciance heavily gives him a social advantage. He accepts everyone, and is difficult not to accept.
Socially, Derek is a natural leader. He unites many separate friendship circles with his friendly, open personality. He speaks to everyone the same way and does not hesitate to seek out conversations with whoever sits next to him. The main struggle in his life is boredom. He needs attention and adventure.

History: This year Derek is a junior at Forks High School. Humans consider him well informed about the Forks community—he attends the many parties of his many acquaintances, he participates on the track team, and he is a decent B student in two honors classes. Considering his lack of shyness, he has met some of the Cullens at school. Of course, though, he suspects nothing about the Cullens' true nature.
Derek lives in a middle-class townhouse with his parents and his dog. Derek's mother is a rather social housewife; Derek's father works at a landscaping company. The Collinses consider themselves Christian, although they do not usually attend church, and Derek tends to question his beliefs.

RP Sample: It was summer break before senior year, and Derek was jogging through the neighborhood. He was with a guy he considered a friend, although Derek truly had no friends. All the people with whom Derek passed his time were merely running partners, or people who were willing to discuss professional football and TV dramas. He didn't mind though. Derek was running side by side with a guy he knew from school. Both were listening to different music on separate iPods. Their steps were not in sync with each other, as friends often run.
Derek skipped a song on his iPod that was too old-- it had been playing on the radio about three months ago. He thought of the upcoming school year. He would be a senior at Forks. He was excited about being able to drive to school, to speak with all the people he thought were friends again, and meet girls. He had never had a serious friendship, much less a serious relationship with a girl, although he has had several hookups. However, Derek was beginning to realize that he might not mind having a girlfriend. He thought through all the various failures he had had recently-- another of his "friends" said no to coming over yesterday; a roller coaster at an amusement park he visited last week was closed; he had summer homework. Maybe having a girlfriend would provide someone who actually cared about all these little failures. He wanted someone who had the same thirst for excitement that he did.
Derek and his friend slowed their pace as they got to Derek's driveway. They turned off their music players. To Derek, the world had just collapsed and lost its bright colors. The thrill of running, the feeling of the wind, and the addictive beat of his music had all just ended.
